The growth of your company might be aimed value creation in preparation of a business combination (merger, acquisition, divestiture). PATROKLOS is your partner in:
The event that enhances (or destroys) growth most is an inorganic one: i.e. a change of ownership, a merger-acquisition, a market entry in another geographical area or business activity. Thanks to its expertise and experience, Patroklos Belgium will guide you through this crucial growth stage.
Our experience in this matter is self-explanatory:
In 2001 Alex was appointed investor relations officer of the Belgian, Antwerp based, transnational group, Agfa-Gevaert. At that time, the company made various acquisitions and announced strategic business developments. It was key to understand all the implications (financial, operational, legal, governance) of these changes in order to communicate them in a proper way to all stakeholders.
From 2009 to 2012, Alex initiated and managed all the inorganic business development initiatives of an American, Georgia based, group, W.C.Bradley. The group was leader in the US market of leisure products such as fishing gear and grilling equipment, but lacked experience in managing foreign operations. Turning a local US company into a global player was a substantial challenge.
One of the biggest mistakes an organization makes when starting an inorganic growth venture is to invite “too many cooks in the kitchen”. Different types of advisors will give varying and sometimes contradictory opinions without assuming the full responsibility for it. It is very important to have a “one stop shop” approach. The consultant with a holistic multi-disciplinary view who is able to deduct a coherent strategy from the opinions of the individual specialist plays a critical role. It allows the managers of the organization to make the right decisions. Patroklos Belgium, as the “one stop shop” consultant, stands for the success of your inorganic venture. Our fee structure, including a substantial success reward, is the best illustration of this accountability.

Accomplishments:
Columbus, Georgia, is a city of +/- 200.000 habitants located 100 miles (160 km) southeast of Atlanta. This typical Southeastern place, with +/- 200 Christian churches, is also home of one of the largest US Army bases, Fort Benning. Locals claim that a Columbian pharmacist, John Pemberton, a civil war veteran, invented at the end of the 19th century a soda drink, he called Coca-Cola.
During its Golden Age (16th century), Antwerp became the richest city in Europe. Although its economical wealth declined in the 17th century as a consequence of religious wars, Antwerp remained a cultural center. Its best known representative was the painter, Pieter Paul Rubens (1577-1640). He was not only a famous painter but was also widely respected as diplomat.
